A group of people escapes a deadly accident at a stock car race, but Death stalks them and kills them one by one. David R. Ellis directed; Shantel VanSanten and Mykelti Williamson are among the cast. The original title has no number: it is The Final Destination, and the film is a standalone sequel to the third part. It was the first film of the series shot in HD 3D. Filming took place in the spring of 2008, and Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema released the film on 28 August 2009.
