The official answer is short: Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar and Take-Two have not officially announced a PC version. This article covers only what is written on the Rockstar Games website, in its news (Newswire) and in Take-Two materials as of October 18, 2026. We do not list rumors, leaks or “insider” claims.

Release date: what Rockstar and Take-Two say

The game’s page on the Rockstar website reads “Coming November 19, 2026”. A Rockstar news item from November 6, 2025 says the game will be released on Thursday, November 19, 2026. A news item about the final trailer from October 15, 2026 also confirms this: Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Take-Two says the same. In the press release from August 7, 2026 on the results for the first fiscal quarter of 2027, the table of upcoming releases lists Grand Theft Auto VI (label Rockstar Games) with a date of November 19, 2026 and the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms. Company head Strauss Zelnick talks about the game’s launch on November 19 in this release.

After November 2025 we found no new delays in the official materials we checked: Take-Two in August 2026 and Rockstar in October 2026 both name the same date.

Platforms

The official materials name two platforms: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The same two platforms are listed on the game’s page, in Rockstar’s news and in Take-Two’s table. These materials do not mention the previous generation of consoles or other devices for GTA VI. Rockstar also clarifies that Grand Theft Auto VI is a single-player experience. The materials we checked say nothing about a multiplayer mode.

PC version: what is officially known

Nothing. The Rockstar game page, the news about the date, pre-orders and the trailer, and Take-Two’s table of upcoming releases do not name a PC platform for Grand Theft Auto VI. For other games in the same table, PC is named (for example, NBA 2K27 lists PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and PC), but for GTA VI only two consoles are listed. PC is named even for the summer update of Grand Theft Auto Online (July 14, 2026), but not for GTA VI itself. Look for official news on the Rockstar website and in its Newswire.

Pre-orders and editions

Rockstar opened pre-orders at midnight local time on June 25, 2026. The editions include Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition, with an exclusive set of premium cars, weapons and clothing. All pre-orders and purchases up to November 20 get the Vintage Vice City Pack. Digital pre-orders can be downloaded in advance starting November 12, and from the same day the physical version is available with a download code in the box. • Music: in news from October 8, 2026, Rockstar described the in-game radio stations, and on September 17 it announced the album Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, which will also be released on November 19.
