The Tudum article from September 30, 2026 has a section on the release date, but it contains no specific date or period: according to the outlet, the creators are not revealing anything, and the third season may be some way off. We found no other official sources with a date, so any “date” without a link to Netflix is a guess. We also do not calculate a date from the gap between seasons: Netflix does not publish such a calculation, and the first season came out in 2022, the second in 2025.

Who is in the cast

Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán and others are returning, and director and executive producer Tim Burton says he is glad to return for the third season. The showrunners are Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, whom Tudum calls the creators, showrunners and writers of the series. According to Tudum, the first season remains the most-watched English-language series in Netflix history. The second season was released in two parts: the first part came out in August 2025, and all eight episodes became available on September 3, 2025.

In season one, according to the Netflix page for Ukraine, there are eight episodes running from 48 minutes to an hour. The episodes have titles such as “Wednesday’s Child Is Full of Woe” (a translation of the Ukrainian title on the Netflix page), and the description says Wednesday investigates tangled murders at the academy and finds new friends and enemies there.

Season two, according to Tudum materials, is built around the family. Wednesday returns to school voluntarily for the first time, her younger brother Pugsley, who has electrokinetic powers, arrives at Nevermore, and Morticia and Gomez spend more time on the academy grounds. A new original song by Lady Gaga, “The Dead Dance”, plays in the second part of the season.
