In the year 2805 a solitary robot, WALL-E, keeps cleaning up an abandoned, garbage-covered Earth until a robot named EVE arrives from the starship Axiom, and he falls in love with her. He follows her across the galaxy. Andrew Stanton directed this Pixar science-fiction romance, whose first part has almost no dialogue, with the robot voices created by sound designer Ben Burtt. It won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, and in 2021 it was selected for the US National Film Registry.
